Kindergarten: 5 – 6 year olds
Kindergartners are enthusiastic to explore, investigate, discover and absorb just about everything. In other words, they are sponges! At Elite Preschool we believe that we can make a difference in how much they learn and grow. Our private kindergarten program follows Arizona State and National Standards and introduces your child to a formal, Christian education. Our low teacher-child ratios allow our fully qualified teachers to focus on the individual child and encourage growth and development. Children entering our program will blossom as we encourage reading, writing, math and science skills.
At Elite Preschool, Kindergarteners will experience a longer educational day. Our day will begin at 8am and end at 3pm. Your child will also have homework and memory verse assignments. By the end of the school year, your child will also:
- Read at least 100 sight words
- Read three letter words by sounding them out.
- Understand beginning, middle, and end of a story.
- Understand the main idea of a story.
- Recall sequence of events.
- Print words legibly.
- Capitalize the first word in a sentence.
- Remember to end the sentence with a period.
- Count to 100 by one’s, five’s and ten’s
- Learn about odd and even numbers.
- Add and subtract numbers from 1 – 10 using manipulatives
- And much more!
Your child will be more than ready for first grade when they leave Elite Preschool and Learning Center!
